Kerry Bickford is Philadelphia Contemporary’s Curator of Ecological Futures. As Director of Programs at Philadelphia Contemporary she has co-curated the ongoing program Water Marks as well as Commonwealth, Edward Burtynsky: Megaresources, and Ana Vizcarra Rankin: time/scale and has co-produced Grounds that Shout! (and others merely shaking) and the web series Talking Breakfast.
Bickford has an M.A. from the Williams College Graduate Program in the History of Art and a B.A. in English and Art History from Northwestern University. Her personal research focuses on art and its role in conveying the timescale, intimacy, and immensity of ecological crises.
